Anderson Lee Bishop, 47 of Simon, departed this life on Sunday, April 11, 2010, at this residence.

Born at Pineville on September 8, 1962, he was the son of the late George and Sheila Harper Bishop.

Anderson was a loving husband, father, grandfather, brother, uncle, and friend.  He was a general labor who enjoyed spending time with his wonderful family and friends.  He will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved him.

Those left to love and cherish his memory and to carry on his legacy include his loving wife, Rebecca Addison Bishop of Simon; his wonderful son, Christopher Addison of Ohio; his two beautiful daughters:  Santana (Jeremy) Bragg of Kopperston and Shiranda Bishop of Simon; his precious and wonderful grandson, Hayden Alexander Bragg of Kopperston; his two brothers:  William and Vincent (Darlena) Bishop, both of Simon; his three sisters:  Della Toler and Doreen (Ricky) Morgan, both of Simon, and Darlena (Tommy) Kennedy of Hanover; his dear friend, Frankie Lester; special friends:  Tom Kennedy and family, and Ryan Blankenship; and a host of other dear family and friends.

Friends may gather with the family at the Upper Room Jesus Name Church at Simon on Saturday, April 17^th after 6 pm for a memorial service to celebrate Anderson’s life.

To honor his wishes he was cremated and he is to be buried at Morgan Cemetery at Long Branch Mountain at Simon.
