Cordia Trent Johnson Osborne

A sweet and loving child of God, Cordia Trent Johnson Osborne, 93 of Phelps KY, formerly of Wharncliffe, went home to be with her Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ, and her loved ones waiting in heaven for her, on Wednesday, June 23, 2010, from Good Shepherd Community Nursing Center at Phelps KY.
Born at Wharncliffe on September 17, 1916, she was the daughter of the late Ance and Mazie Steele Trent.
In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her 1st husband, Preston Johnson; her 2nd John Osborne; one daughter, Millie Teems Wolford; 5 grandchildren; 3 great grandchildren; and her brothers and sisters.
Cordia was a loving mother, grandmother, great grandmother, and great great grandmother, sister, aunt, and friend. She was a homemaker and of the Church of God Faith. She had a wonderful and kind heart and loved spending time with her family and friends. She will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved her.
Those left to love and cherish her memory and to carry on her legacy include her three daughters: Janice Bradford of Gilbert, Magdalene Osborne of Wharncliffe, and Muriel Albury of Pie; her four sons: Isom, Obed, and Jr. Johnson all of Wharncliffe, and Ralph Johnson of Gilbert; her 50 grandchildren; her 70 great grandchildren; one special granddaughter, Bev Cline; a host of great great and great great great grandchildren; and a host of other dear family and friends.
Friends may gather with the family to celebrate Cordia’s life at the Free Pentecostal Church of God at Wharncliffe on Friday, June 25th from 6 to 9 pm with a service at 7 pm.
Funeral services will be held at 1:00 pm on Saturday, June 26th at the Free Pentecostal Church of God with the Rev. Denny May, Rev. Roy Lee Lester, and Rev. Danny Ward officiating.
Her final resting place will be in the Hatfield Cemetery at Sharon Heights, Hampden.
She will be carried to her final resting place by her family and friends.
