Delmas R. “B O” Lester, 66 of Hanover, went home to be with his Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ, and to join his loved ones waiting for him in heaven, on Friday, February 19, 2010, from Logan Regional Medical Center at Logan.

Born at Hanover on November 24, 1943, he was the son of the late Lity and Pearlie Lester Lester.

In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by three sisters:  Patsy McMann, Lorraine Kennedy, and Imogene Lester; and two half-sisters: Tazzie Lamar and Ruby Trent.

“B O” was a loving husband, father, grandfather, brother, uncle, and friend.  He loved skating and bluegrass music.  He had a heart of gold and would “give the shirt off his back to help anyone.”  He was a retired grader operator for the West Virginia Department of Highways, a honorary member of the Hanover Volunteer Fire Department, and a member of the Hanover Missionary Baptist Church.  He will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved him.

Those left to cherish his memory and to carry on his legacy include his loving wife of 36 years (they celebrated their anniversary on February 9th), Brenda Lester Lester of Hanover; his loving daughter, Melissa (Donald) Owens of Princeton; his two precious granddaughters, Cassidy and Morgan of Princeton; his two wonderful grandsons, Marcus and Steven Owens of Princeton; his four brothers:  Bill (Dora) Lester, Dallas “Dorty” Lester, and Denver (Virginia) Lester all of Hanover, and Jim Lester; his three sisters:  Addie (Robert) Keaton of Iaeger, Dorothy (Billy) Walker, and Becky Lester both of Hanover; his very special nephew and niece, Noah Lee and Dana Lester of Hanover; his special friend, Mack Proffitt of Steel Hollow of Hanover; and a host of other dear family and friends.

Friends may gather with the family at the Mounts Funeral Home Chapel in Gilbert on Monday, February 22nd from 6 to 9 pm with a service held at 7:00 pm.

Funeral services will be held at 12:00 noon on Tuesday, February 23, 2010 at the Mounts Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Jackie Lester and the Rev. Dennis Lester officiating.
