Gregory Joe Mounts

Gregory Joe “Little Joe” Mounts, 42 of Baisden, departed this life on Wednesday, December 2, 2009, at Logan Regional Medical Center at Logan.

Born on February 14, 1967 at Welch, he was the son of Carol Browning Mounts and the late Joseph “Joe” Mounts.

In addition to his father he was preceded in death by his maternal grandparents, Wayne and Fannie Browning and his paternal grandparents, Anderson and Idear Mounts.

Gregory was a loving son, brother, uncle, and friend.  He loved to hunt, fish, go 4-wheeling, the races, and working with the volunteer fire department.  He was a coal truck driver, an active volunteer fireman, and of the Church of God faith.  He will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved him.

Those left to love and cherish his memory are:  his loving mother, Carol Browning Mounts of Baisden; his three brothers:  Keith Mounts, Jr., of Baisden, Keith (Lisa) Mounts of Hanover, and Joey (Doni) Mounts of Baisden; his two sisters:  Tammy (Gary) Vance and Chrissy (Norwood) Harrison, both of Baisden; and a host of nieces, nephews, and friends who loved him dearly.

Friends may gather with the family at the Lighthouse Church at Baisden on Saturday, December 5^th after 6 pm.  A service will be held at 7:00 pm.

Funeral services will be at 1:00 pm on Sunday, December 6^th at the Lighthouse Church with the Rev. Winfred Bradford, Rev. Danny Ward, and Rev. Russell Prince officiating.

Burial will follow in the Roy Cline Cemetery at Baisden.

He will be carried to his final resting place by:  Paul, Tommy, Drew, Jeff, Brian, and Keith Mounts.

Honorary pallbearers will be the Volunteer Firemen.
