Gregory Pearlie Cline, 55 of Baisden, passed away peacefully in his sleep on Thursday, March 18, 2010 at his residence, after suffering from a long illness.
Born March 21, 1954, at Welch, he was the son of Geneva Cline Shands and the late Lenden B. Cline.
In addition to his father he was preceded in death by his grandparents; Ott and Allie Cline, Pearlie Sammons and Goldy Johnson; and his favorite uncle; Quentin Cline.
Gregory was a loving son, husband, father, grandfather, brother, uncle and friend. He was a Master Brick Mason, who left his mark on the community by bricking several area businesses and homes, and he was a master of his craft. He was a very spiritual and soulful being who will be with us always, and he will continue to live in our hearts forever.
Those left to love and cherish his memory are: his mother, Geneva Cline Shands of Baisden, his loving wife: Barbara Bailey Cline, his two lovely daughters: April and Alyssa Cline, his grandson: Gregory Kaleb Cline, A special “son-in-law”, John D. Jude; his two sisters: Linda (Jim) Nagy, and Katrina (Jim) Brown; a special “brother” Scottie Sammons; his ex-wife and special friend: Jo Cline; and a host of nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles and other dear family and friends who will greatly miss him.
Friends may gather with the family at the Mounts Funeral Home Chapel in Gilbert on Saturday, March 20th, from 6 to 9 pm.
Funeral services will be held at 2pm on Sunday, March 21st, at the Mounts Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev, Bill Cresong officiating.
Burial will follow in the Justice Memorial Gardens at Justice, WV.
Pallbearers will be Scottie and Terry Sammons, Mark Smith, Greg Berry, Kim Ellis, John Peak and Mike Ward.
Honorary Pallbearers are his grandson Gregory Kaleb Cline, John Jude and Gary Step.
