Linda Lou Goodman Huff

On Sunday, May 23, 2010, our sweet and loving mother, grandmother, great grandmother, sister, aunt and friend, Linda Lou Goodman Huff, 67 years old of Corbin, KY, formerly of Riverview, WV, went home to be with her Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ, and her loved ones waiting for her in heaven, after a courageous fight with cancer.
Born on November 3, 1942, at Christian, WV, she is the daughter of the late Robert “Bud” Onnie and Francis “Goldie” Glandon Goodman.
In addition to her parents Linda was preceded in death by her husband, Jason C. Huff; her sisters: Virgie (Gus) Bailey and Deloris Lawrence; and a brother, Private Robert Onnie Goodman, Jr.
Those left to love and cherish her memory and to carry on her legacy are her three daughters: Julie Huff of London, KY, Johanna (Jerry) Walker of River Bend, WV, and Alice (Billy) Kovach of Charlotte, North Carolina; her wonderful grandchildren: Misty Grimmett (Charles) Provence II, Darrell Jason (Marsha) Hendricks, Derrick Hendricks, Linda Hendricks (Brandon) Mounts, Billy Kovach Jr., Joshua (Yolanda) Kovach, and Karrie (Steffan) Kovach Gatlin; her precious great grandchildren: Charles (Trey) Provence III, Jalyn Hendricks, Colin Kovach, Lailah Kovach, Cameron and Ethan Jake Gatlin; a host of step grandchildren; her six sisters: Lucille Kirk, Kathy Allen, Phyllis Johnson, from Gilbert, Bonnie Baldridge from Columbus OH, Ruth Myers from Lyndon Station, Wisconsin, and Belinda Repshire from Newton, Kansas; her four brothers: Thomas Goodman from Elizabeth, WV, Jimmy Dale Goodman from Tamcliffe, WV, Ronnie “Pooh” Goodman from Kentucky, and Jerry Michael McNeely from Amherstdale, WV; a very special sister-in-law and friend, Mabeline Marsingill from Riverview, WV; and a host of other dear family and friends.
Friends may gather with the family at the Mounts Funeral Home Chapel in Gilbert on Wednesday, May 26th from 6 to 9 pm to celebrate her life. A service will be held at 7 pm. Refreshment will be served at the Gilbert Church of God.
Funeral services will be held on Thursday, May 27th at 2:00 pm at the Mounts Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. David Browning and Rev. Michael Browning officiating.
Burial will follow in the Jason C. Huff Cemetery at River Bend Road of Verner, WV.
She will be carried to her final resting place by: Jason and Derrick Hendricks, Brandon Mounts, Joshua Kovach, Steffan Gatlin, Jim Baldridge, Jr., Ronnie “Pooh” Goodman, and Michael McNeely.
