Lonnie Hubert Endicott Hatfield, 73 of Kershaw, SC, formerly of Man,  died at his home in Kershaw on March 4, 2010.

Born on January 1, 1937 in Gilbert, he was the son of the late Marie Endicott Brown and the late Arnold Hatfield.

"Foo" as he was known by his friends, graduated from Gilbert High School and was a veteran of the U.S. Air Force.  A former coal operator who was previously employed with Powellton Coal Co. and Pittston Coal Co., he worked 27 years in the Coal Mining Industry.

In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by his wife Sandra Jean Heston Hatfield, son Arnold J. Hatfield and sister Lorraine Brown Ellis.

Those left to love and cherish his memory and to carry on his legacy include:  his daughters:  Elaine Shaw of Lantana FL; Cindy Browning and husband John of Hico, WV; Hope Ann Browning and husband Charles, of Accoville, WV; son Dewayne Hatfield of Kershaw, SC with whom he made his home; daughter-in-law Teresa Adkins Pierson Hatfield of Wilson Mills, NC; his  grandchildren: Valerie Audain, Clinton Cooper, Misty Dawn Birchfield, Ryan Browning, Chad Browning, Darrell Pierson, Brian Pierson, John Browning Jr., Meg Duncan, and Becky Picard; his great-grandchildren: Megan Johnson, Aliza Audain, Austin Worley, Kaylee Ann Lester, Lauren Browning, Victoria Duncan, and Chloe Picard; his sister Janet Brown Fox and her husband Bernard, of Newark DE; his brother-in-law Cecil Ellis of Hanover, WV; his two sisters-in-law, Karen Heston of South Charleston WV and Joan Heston of Elkins WV; and a host of other dear family and friends.

Friends may gather with the family Monday, March 8th, 2010 from 6 to 9 pm at the Mounts Funeral Home Chapel.

Services will be conducted on Tuesday, March 9th, 2010 at 1:00 pm, at the Mounts Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Roger Endicott and Rev. Clyde Endicott officiating.

Burial will follow at the Hatfield Cemetery at Sharon Heights.  Pallbearers will be family and friends.
