Marie "Sis" Mounts

Marie “Sis” Mounts 84 of Baisden, went home to be with the Lord,  on Thursday, December 31, 2009, at Williamson ARH in South Williamson, KY.

Born at Baisden on November 15, 1925, she was the daughter of the late Pete and Mary Lester Cline.

In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her loving husband, Wiley “Ben” Mounts; her three sisters:  Virgie Perry, Athelene Grubb, and Martha Trent; and her five brothers:  Nat, Branson, Dee, Clarence, and Roland Cline.

Sis was a wonderful mother, grandmother, great grandmother, aunt, and friend.  She was a retired cook for the Mingo County Board of Education and owned and operated Mounts Restaurant at Baisden.  She will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved her.

Those left to love and cherish her memory are:  her two sons:  Harlos and Tommie Mounts of Baisden; her four grandchildren:  Jonathan Ray Mounts of Iaeger, Rachel Michelle (Micheal) May of Holden, Michael Mounts of Columbus Ohio, and Lisa Mounts; her great grandchildren; and a host of other dear family and friends.

Friends may gather with the family at the Mounts Funeral Home Chapel in Gilbert on Sunday, January 3rd, from 6 to 9 pm.  A service will be held at 7:00 pm.

Funeral services will be held at 1:00 pm on Monday, January 4th, at the Mounts Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Jonas Trent and Rev. Matthew Stanley officiating.

Burial will follow in the Clarence Cline Cemetery at Baisden.

She will be carried to her final resting place by family and friends.
