Nellie Gibson Browning

A sweet and loving wife, mother, and grandmother, Nellie Browning, 82 of Rt. 2 Delbarton, departed this life on Friday, June 11th, 2010, at Williamson ARH Skilled Nursing Facility.

Born on February 16, 1928, at Wharncliffe, she was the daughter of the late Bee and Bertha Sipples Gibson.

In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her loving husband, Moss Browning; one great grandchild; her five brothers:  Clarence, Don, Gene, Lacy and Freeland Gibson; her five sisters:  Ellen Blankenship, Icie Hatfield, Ethel Cantrell, Jennie Browning and Mazie Browning.

Nellie was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, great grandmother, sister, aunt and friend.  She was a homemaker and of the Church of God Faith.  She will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved her.

Those left to love and cherish her memory and to carry on her legacy include her five sons:  Burgess of Newport TN, Timmy, Wayne and Louie all of Delbarton, and John of Blackberry KY; her daughter, Nina Bowe of Stone KY, with whom she spent the last year; her 12 grandchildren; her 22 great grandchildren, her great great grandchild; and a host of other dear family and friends.

Friends may gather with the family to celebrate Nellie's life at the Mounts Funeral Home Chapel in Gilbert on Monday, June 14th, from 6 to 9 pm.  A service will be held at 7:00 pm.

Funeral services will be held at 1:00 pm on Tuesday, June 15th at the Mounts Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Denny May officiating.

Burial will follow in the Hatfield Cemetery at Sharon Heights at Hampden.

She will be carried to her final resting place by:  Billy Bob Burton, Robert Hensley, Timbo and Tony Browning, Mike and Michael Bowe, and Chris and Bo Kennedy.
