Pamela Browning Fields, 57, of Delbarton, formerly of Verner, went home to be with her Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ, on Friday, February 5, 2010, from St. Mary’s Medical Center in Huntington.
Born at Iaeger on March 26, 1952, she was the daughter of Troy Jr. and Lorene Nester Browning.
She was preceded in death by her brother, Phillip Browning and her husband, Steve Nugent.
Pamela was a loving daughter, wife, mother, grandmother, sister, aunt, and friend. She was a 1970 graduate of Gilbert High School and a 1973 graduate of Huntington Beauty School. She was a disabled beautician who owned and operated Pam’s Beauty Shop. She attended the Verner Community Church at Verner and the Matewan United Methodist Church at Matewan. Pamela loved to fish, sing, and attend church. She had a warm and friendly smile for everyone and a heart of gold. She will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved her.
Those left to love and cherish her memory are: her loving husband, D. Roger Fields of Delbarton; her wonderful daughter, Sandie Dennie and her fiancé Waymon “Bubba” Hall of Morganton NC; her precious granddaughter, Savannah Richards of Morganton NC; her beloved parents, Troy Jr. and Lorene Nester Browning of Verner; her very special sister, Christie Conley of Crown-Amherstdale; her very special brother-in-law, Rocky Conley of Crown-Amherstdale; two sisters-in-law, Athalean Lucarella of Long Island NY and Thelma Browning of Columbus OH; her niece, Denise Browning of Wharncliffe; her nephew, Troy Anthony Browning of Lansing MI; her three great nieces: Erica, Olivia, and MaKenzie; her great nephew, Dylan; a host of special nieces, nephews, and other dear family and friends; and a very special friend and companion, her cat, Sheba.
Friends may gather with the family at the Verner Community Church at Verner on Monday, February 8th after 6 pm. A service will be held at 7 pm.
Funeral services will be held at 1:00 pm on Tuesday, February 9th at the Verner Community Church with the Rev. Rodney Robinette, Pastors Walter Grimmett and Ron Acord, and Michael Browning.
Burial will follow in the Browning Cemetery at Verner.
She will be carried to her final resting place by: Roland Martin, Eddie & Everett Fields, Clyde Pruitt, Michael Browning, Troy Anthony Browning, and Aaron Plumley.
