Shelva Ann Lester

A sweet and loving child of God, Shelva Ann Lester, 69 of Justice, went home to be with her Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ, and to join her loved ones waiting for her in heaven, on Thursday, July 29, 2010, from Logan Regional Medical Center.
Born at Welch on March 13, 1941, she was the daughter of the late Onnie and Maggie Morgan Hatfield.
In addition to her parents she is preceded in death by: her daughter, Thelma Ann Lester; two sons: Robert Paul and Dencil Charles Lester; four brothers: Homer, Freeman, Jesse, and Ray Hatfield; two sisters: Allie Hanshaw and Vertie Hatfield; and her best friend, Zionel Walker.
Shelva Ann was a loving mother, grandmother, great grandmother, sister, aunt, and friend. She had a beautiful smile for everyone and a kind and loving heart. She loved fishing, being outdoors, and spending time with her wonderful family and friends. She was a homemaker and was a member of the Church of God. She will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved her.
Those left to love and cherish her memory and to carry on her legacy include her four sons: Jerry Lester of Tennessee, Lonnie (Kathey) Lester of Justice, Floyd Lester of Justice, and Michael (Melinda) Lester of Hanover; her three brothers: Freddie (Margaret) Hatfield of Verner, Roger Hatfield of Rock House Mountain, and Buck Hatfield of Clearfork; her three sisters: Lucille (Chuck) Debono of Detroit MI, Vonnie Walls of Jacksonville FL, and Ocie Fughette of Kentucky; her three grandchildren: Charles, Melissa, and Jessica Lester; her two great grandchildren: Michael Lester and Whitney Caserta; and three special children who called her their "Special Nana": Morgan, Kylie, and Tristan Cook; and a host of other dear family and friends.
Friends may gather with the family, to celebrate Shelva Ann's life, at the Mounts Funeral Home Chapel in Gilbert on Monday, August 2nd from 6 to 9 pm.
Funeral services will be held at 12:00 noon on Tuesday, August 3rd at the Mounts Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Arnold Harless officiating.
Burial will follow in Palm Memorial Gardens at Matheny.
She will be carried to her final resting place by family and friends.
