Violet Gaye Weaver Cline

On Tuesday, May 11, 2010, a sweet and loving child of God, Violet Gaye Weaver Cline, 89 of Hampden, went home to be with her Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ, her loving husband of 68 years, Quentin, and her other family members waiting for her in heaven from Logan Regional Medical Center.

Born on June 16, 1920 at Pineville, she was the daughter of the late Leonard and Louvenia Lambert Weaver.

In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her loving husband, Quentin Berry Cline; her four brothers:  Ambrose, Cecil, Paul, and Bill Weaver; and her two sisters:  Hazel Collins and Lucille Lyons.

Violet was a loving wife, mother, mother-in-law, grandmother, great grandmother, sister, aunt, and friend.  She was a homemaker and a member of the First Baptist Church of Gilbert.  She loved going to church and spending time with her family and friends.  She will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved her.

Those left to love and cherish her memory and to carry on her legacy include her four loving daughters:  Patricia (Doug) Browning of Oakland TN, Connie (Johnny) Wiley of Gilbert, Deborah Lout of Huffman TX, and Peggy (Terry) Marshall of Lexington KY; her eight wonderful grandchildren:  Angela (Tim) Snyder, Annette (Kevin) Williams, Kimberly (Robert) Woodruff, John Quentin Wiley, Courtney Wiley, Jason Yates, Stephanie (Jon) Bridges, and Terence Marshall; her seven precious great grandchildren:  Garrett, Austin, Presley, and Brody Williams, Jordan and Kyle Snyder, and Tyler Woodruff; and a host of other dear family and friends.

The family would like to extend a special thank you to her caregivers for their kindness and care:  Sherri Hatfield, Winnie  Dingess, Lisa Curry, Genevieve King, Wanda Noe, Cindy Hatfield, Trula Harless, Ruth Riffe, Jackie Grubb, Melissa Fuller, and Gina Carter.

Friends may gather with the family at the First Baptist Church in Gilbert on Saturday, May 15th from 6:00 to 9:00 pm.

Funeral services will be held at 3:00 pm on Sunday, May 16th at the church with the Rev. Bill Cresong and Rev. Ronnie Lester officiating.

Burial will follow in the Cook Memorial Cemetery at Rockview.

She will be carried to her final resting place by:  Doug Browning, Johnny Wiley, Terry Marshall, Terence Marshall, Robert Woodruff, John Wiley, and Jason Yates.
