William "Billy" Gillman

William “Billy” Gillman 76 of Wharncliffe, departed this life on Wednesday, March 3rd, 2010, at Williamson Memorial Hospital.

Born at Naugatuck on May 16, 1933, he was the son of the late George and Pearl Moore Gillman.

In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by his son, Michael Ray Cline and two sisters:  Emily Gay McGraw and Ruth Faye Lester.

Billy was a loving husband, father, father-in-law, grandfather, great grandfather, brother, uncle, and friend.  He loved to hunt, go 4-wheeling, and spending time with his wonderful families.  He was a retired coal miner and a believer in Christ.  He will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved him.

Those left to love and cherish his memory and to carry on his legacy include his loving wife of 48 years, Dorene Cline Gillman of Wharncliffe; his two loving daughters: Audrey Staten of Gilbert and Mavis (Dewayne) Cline of Hampden; his two sisters:  Bessie Day (Dale) Cline of War Eagle and Audrey May Lester of Michigan; his four wonderful grandsons:  William David Edward Sparks, Michael Lee Cline, Michael Ray Cline, and Thomas Ray Cline; his five precious granddaughters:  Jessica Rae (Justin Vanatter) Sparks, Jennifer Hope (Philip) May, Stephanie Nannette (Josh) Endicott, Carrie Cline, and Natasha (Joe) Stevens; his nine great grandchildren; and a host of other dear family and friends.

Friends may gather with the family at the Ben Creek Free Pentecostal Holiness Church  at Wharncliffe on Saturday, March 6th from 6 to 9 pm.

Funeral services will be held at 2:00 pm on Sunday, March 7th at the Ben Creek Free Pentecostal Holiness Church with the Rev. Denny May, Rev. Roy Lee Lester, and Rev. Dewayne Cline.

Burial will follow in the Springfork Cemetery at Wharncilffe.

He will be carried to his final resting place by family and friends.
