David Dale Stevens

David Dale Stevens 70 of Man, WV departed this life Monday, March 4, 2024 from his residence.  Born on March 26, 1953 at Gilbert, WV, he was the son of the late Jess and Emma (Ball) Stevens.

In addition to his parents, he is also preceded in death by his brothers: Pedu and Jess “Bimbo” Stevens; sisters: Viola “Sis” Grimmett, Rose Plumley, and Connie Stevens; nephew: Larry Trent; mother and father-in-law: Cat and Mason Glenn; brother-in-law: Willie Stevenson.

David enjoyed fishing, hunting, and gardening; he especially enjoyed spending time with his grandchildren, family, and friends.  He was a retired Coal Miner.

Those left to love and cherish his memory and to mourn his loss are his wife of 41 years: Sara Patricia (Glenn) Stevens of the home; his sons: William Stevens, David Stevens, Jr., and Landon Stevens (Hannah); 2 special daughters in law that he loved like daughters: Melissa and Danielle Stevens; his grandchildren, who he cherished: grandsons, Corey and Zandall, granddaughters: Billie, Lily, and Kailyn; siblings: Oma Hall of Monroe County, Carol (Walter) Jude, and Vickie Stevens, all of Gilbert, Mark (Veronie) Stevens of Boone County, Liz Brown of Man; special nephew: Freddie Grimmett.  He also leaves behind a host of nieces, nephews, and other dear relatives and friends.

Friends may gather with the family Thursday, March 7, 2024 from 12:00 till 1:00 pm in the chapel of Mounts Funeral Home, Gilbert, WV.

To honor David’s request, he will be cremated following services.

He may be gone from our sight, but never from our hearts.
