Johnie Saul Glandon

Johnie Saul Glandon, 89 of Bruno, WV departed this life Tuesday, April 16, 2024 from his residence.  Born September 10, 1934 in Logan, WV, he was the son of the late Tom and Maude (Carter) Glandon.

In addition to his parents, Johnie is also preceded in death by his first wife: Loraine Toler Glandon; daughter: Darlene (Craig) Brumfield; son: Johnny Glandon, Jr; granddaughter: Ashlee Loraine Glandon; son-in-law: Keith Cline; maternal and paternal grandparents; brothers: Earl, Audrey, and Dale Glandon; sisters: Odessa White, Goldie Goodman, Josie Esteep, Janice Ellis, and Jane Trent.

Johnie loved his church, The Bruno Church of God, where he had attended for many years.  He loved spending time with his family, reading his Bible and gardening.  He had served his country in the United States
Marines.

Those left to love and cherish his memory and to mourn his loss are his loving wife of 28 years: Phyllis (Walls) Glandon of the home; daughters: Teresa (Michael) McNeely of Amherstdale, WV, Kelly (Tommy) Lafferty of Davin, WV, Marcella (Jeff) Hill of Ormond Beach, FL, Marsha Cline of Bruno, WV; sons: Darren (Kristi) Glandon of Silver Springs, FL, Bradley Hilbert of Gainsville, GA; grandchildren: Paula (Randy) Bryant, April Woodall, Becky and Tyler Brumfield, John Michael (Heather) McNeely, Michael Craig Lafferty, Brandi (James) Brown, Wendi (Nathaniel) Watts, Jessica McNeely, Randy (Katlin) Toler, Jacob, Matthew, Julie, Alyssa, Lexie, and Piper Glandon, Justin (Gabby) Hilbert, Dustin (Sara) Hill, Sarah Hill, Brian and Emily Cline, John Austin and Dustin Griffin; daughter-in-law: Sandy Glandon; a host of great grandchildren.  He also leaves behind a host of other dear relatives and friends.

Friends may gather with the family Saturday, April 20, 2024 at the Bruno Church of God from 12:00 till 1:00pm, where funeral services will commence at 1:00pm with Rev. Roger Frye and Rev. Bill Cantrell officiating.  Burial will follow at Forest Lawn Cemetery, Pecks Mill, WV.

Johnie will be carried to his resting place by his family and friends.

His wonderful smile and gentle heart will be greatly missed by all who were fortunate to have known and loved him.
