Barbara Justice, 78, of Gilbert, gained her heavenly wings on Wednesday, April 20, 2016, leaving from CAMC Memorial Hospital in Charleston, surrounded by her loving family and friends. Born on November 16, 1937, at Glen Alum, she was the daughter of the late William Ray and Hattie P. Bragg Aker. In addition to her parents, she was also preceded in death by one brother, Bill Aker, and one sister, June Aker. Barbara was a loving and devoted wife, mother, grandmother, sister, aunt and friend. She loved being "Maw Maw" to everyone. She also loved to cook and spend time with her family. Barbara was also a retired cook, formerly employed with the Mingo County Board of Education. She attended the Freedom Full Gospel Assembly House of Prayer. She was an angel to everyone she came in contact with, and she will be deeply and dearly missed. Those left to love and cherish the precious memories of Barbara include her loving husband of 59 years, Delbert Justice of Gilbert; two daughters: Debbie (Brad) Butcher of Gilbert, and Pam Ramey of Gilbert; four grandchildren: Nathan Butcher of Gilbert, Danielle (Josh) Carter of Colorado Springs, Colorado, Ayla Ramey and A.J. Ramey both of Gilbert; three sisters: Judy (Roger) Hatfield of Wharncliffe, Pat (Bill) Walker of Michigan, and Wendell House of Sneads Ferry, NC; one sister-in-law, Nile Aker of Panama City, FL. Barbara also leaves behind a host of nieces and nephews along with a multitude of very dear friends. Friends may gather with the family on Sunday, April 24, 2016, after 6 pm at the Freedom Full Gospel Assembly House of Prayer at Hampden. Funeral services will commence at 1:00 pm on Monday, April 25, 2016, at the church with Rev. Diamond Carter, Rev. Denny May, and Rev. Carl "Cab" Wolford officiating. Entombment will follow in Highland Memory Gardens at Godby, Pecks Mill. Pallbearers include: John Hatfield, Josh Carter, Jerome Trent, Patrick Cline, Clarence Pruitt, Bill Pruitt and Ashton Cline. Honorary pallbearers include: Nathan Butcher and A.J. Ramey. Her wonderful smile and gentle heart will be greatly missed by all who were fortunate to have known and loved her.

Visitation: Sunday, April 24, 2016 after 6 pm, at the Freedom Full Gospel Assembly House of Prayer, Hampden, WV.
Funeral: Monday, April 25, 2016 at 1:00 pm at the Freedom Full Gospel Assembly House of Prayer, Hampden, WV.
