Clarence Lee Lester, 73, of Hanover, departed this life on Tuesday, April 25, 2017, at Logan Regional Medical Center. Born August 13, 1943, at Mullens, he was the son of the late Virgil D. and Flossie Mae Browning Lester of Hanover. In addition to his parents, he was also preceded in death by his loving wife of 53 years, Sue Ann Lester; his grandparents; one infant daughter: Gloria Shawn Lester; three brothers: Roy D. Lester, Robert Ray Lester, and Edward Lester; two sisters: Helen (Vinnie) Blankenship and Barbara Walker. Clarence was a loving husband, father, grandfather, great-grandfather, brother, uncle, and friend. He was a deacon of the Long Branch Freewill Baptist Church, where he enjoyed worshipping and being in the presence of The Lord. He will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved him. Those left to cherish his memory are his children: Delaina (Lawrence) Sammons, Anthony (Pamela) Lester, Dougie (Misty) Lester, all of Hanover, Anetta (Lloyd) Cline of Simon, Tabatha Lester and her companion, Mark Cline of Ieager; one sister: Norma (Frank) Simmons of Palestine; one brother-in-law: Johnny Walker of Hanover; one sister-in-law: Kathy Lester Bryant of Hanover; his grandchildren: Candi (Michael) Heineman, Savanna Bare, Mandi Hatfield, Heath Cline, Shandi Sammons, Dougie Lester, Jr., Hannah Lester, Shania Lester, Hunter Lester, Coltin lester, Macie Cline; his great-grandchildren: Brayden, Logan, Bracelyn, Nataya, Kimmee, Makaya, Johnston, Brielyn, Kyra, Jaxton, and an unborn baby girl, Araya Lester; two foster nieces, one of which is deceased, and five foster grandchildren, all of Chapmanville. Clarence also leaves behind many nieces and nephews, along with a host of other dear relatives and friends. Friends may gather with the family on Friday, April 28, 2017, after 6 pm at the Long Branch Freewill Baptist Church at Long Branch. Funeral services will commence on Saturday, April 29, 2017, at 1:00 pm at the church with Rev. Barry Brooks, Rev. Landon Blankenship, and Rev. Lonnie Blankenship officiating. Burial will follow in the Walker Cemetery at Hanover. Family and friends will serve as pallbearers. He is gone from our sight but never from our hearts.

Funeral: Saturday, April 29, 2017, at 1:00 pm
Place: Long Branch Freewill Baptist Church
