Drewey Wolford

Drewey Wolford, 97 of Varney, departed this life to meet his loved ones waiting for him in Heaven on Friday, December 16, 2016 from Pikeville Medical Center. He was born February 18, 1919, at Woodman, KY, a son of the late Dan and Pricy Wolford. Preceding him in death, in addition to his parents, are his loving wife, Annie "Maw" Wolford, daughter: Emma Jean Wolford; 2 sons: Jimmie Wolford and Charles Wolford. Drewey was a member of the Freedom Full Gospel Assembly House of Prayer. He was a friend to everyone and he loved spending time with his family. Those left to love and cherish the memory of Drewey and to mourn his passing include his 4 sons: Jammy Wolford of Varney, Carl "Cab" (Bonita) Wolford of Hampden, Junior (Sarah) Wolford of Steeles, William Wolford of Hampden; 1 daughter: Brenda Wolford of Varney; many grandchildren, great grandchildren, nieces, nephews and a host of other dear family and friends. Friends may gather with the family on Tuesday, December 20, 2016 at the Freedom Full Gospel Assembly House of Prayer from 6-9 pm. Funeral services will commence on Wednesday, December 21, 2016 at 1:00 pm with the Rev. Denny May and Rev. Diamond Carter officiating. Burial will follow at the Hatfield Cemetery at Sharon Heights. Drewey will be carried to his final resting place by Dustin Blankenship, Sam Wolford, Charles Wolford Jr, Devan Ellis, Cole Ward and Joey Wolford. He is gone from our sight but never from our hearts.
