French Browning

French Browning, 63 of Gilbert departed this life Friday, February 28, 2014 from Bowers Hospice House, Beckley, WV.

Born October 22, 1950 at Guyan, he was the son of the late Beckett and Corbie Elizabeth (Hatfield) Browning. He was the youngest of 21 children.

French was an Army Veteran and of the Baptist Faith.

Those left to love and cherish his memory are his brother: Chester and special sister-in-law Diana Browning of Hanover; his favorite sister: Maxine Straley of Rockhouse; his step-children: Josh and Johna Lynn Browning; grandson: Eli Browning of Gilbert; special nephew: Ronnie Dale Toler of Hanover; special friends: Wayne and Reba McGinnis and all their family of Forest City, NC. Many other nieces, nephews, relatives and friends who loved him, and will miss him dearly.

Friends may gather with the family Wednesday, March 5, 2014 from 11:00 am to 12:00 pm at the Mounts Funeral Home Chapel.

Funeral services will be conducted Wednesday, March 5, 2014 at 12:00 pm with the Rev. Carl Wolford officiating. Burial will follow in the Palm Memorial Gardens at Matheny. French will be carried to his final resting place by family and friends. He will forever live in our hearts.
