Obituary

Hazel Riffe Howell, 76 of Justice, departed this life on Tuesday, January 10, 2012, at Williamson Memorial Hospital.

Born on July 3, 1935 at Ned’s Branch, she was the daughter of the late Burton and Minnie Simpson Riffe.

In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by one daughter, Teresa Blankenship; one brother, Billy Riffe; one son-in-law, Douglas Mullins; her maternal grandparents, Walt and Alice Harris Simpson and her paternal grandparents, Claude and Sarah Belcher Riffe.

Hazel was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, sister, aunt and friend.  She was a homemaker and of the Pentecostal Holiness Faith.  She loved spending time with her wonderful family and friends and will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved her.

Those left to love and cherish the memory of Hazel and to mourn her passing include her loving husband, Milford Howell of Justice; her daughter, Wilma Jean Mullins of Wharncliffe; her son Jimmy Dale Howell of Justice; her two brothers:  Hubert and Eddy Riffe of Hampden; her two grandsons:  Travis Ray and Dustin Richard Blankenship of Justice; her granddaughter, Hazel Savanna Mullins of Pigeon Creek; her great-grandson, Skyler Douglas Mullins of Wharncliffe; and a host of other dear family and friends.

Friends may gather with the family at the Justice Freewill Baptist Church at Justice on Saturday, January 14th after 6 pm, with a special service at 7 pm.

Funeral services will be held at 1 pm on Sunday, January 15th at the Justice Freewill Baptist Church with the Rev. Denny May and Rev. Danny Ward officiating.

Burial will follow in Justice Memorial Gardens at Justice.

Hazel will be carried to her final resting place by family and friends.

She is gone from our sight but never from our hearts.
