James Ferguson

James Arvil Ferguson, 73, of Hampden, went home to be with the Lord on Friday, January 16, 2015, from Logan Regional Medical Center.

Born on June 9, 1941, at Gilbert, he was the son of the late Kenner and Mina Belcher Ferguson. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death two sisters: Flossie Ann Ferguson and Marietta Ferguson; one brother, Kenny Ferguson; and one nephew, Charley Ferguson.

James was a loving brother, uncle, and friend. He attended the Full Pentecostal Holiness Church of Wharncliffe. He will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved him.

Those left to love and cherish the memories of James and to mourn his passing include his three brothers: Elmer (Marie) Ferguson, Bill (Linda) Ferguson, and Johnny (Joyce) Ferguson; two special sisters: Doris (Clinton) Trent and Drema Lester; one caretaker, Doni Jo West, all of Gilbert; one special friend, Freda Yates of Charleston; along with a host of neices and nephews and many other relatives and friends.

Friends may gather with the family on Monday, January 19, 2015, from 6-9 pm at the Mounts Funeral Home Chapel in Gilbert, with a special service beginning at 7 pm. Funeral services will be conducted at 1 pm on Tuesday, January 20, 2015, at the funeral home with Rev. Diamond Carter, Rev. Danny Ward, and Rev. Denny May officiating.

Burial will follow in the Hatfield Cemetery at Sharon Heights, Hampden.

James will be carried to his final resting place by: Billy Trent, Greg Ferguson, Robert Ferguson, Charles Christian, and Michael L. Christian.

Honorary pallbearers will be: Joseph Clinton Trent, Clinton Michael Trent, PJ Collins, Buddy Wayne Browning, and Joey Mounts.

He is gone from our sight but never from our hearts.
