Jason Lester

Jason Lester, 84 of Baisden, WV went to be with his Lord and Savior Jesus Christ on Tuesday, February 24, 2015 from Williamson Memorial Hospital.

Jason was born July 16, 1930 at Baisden, WV, he was the son of the late Dave and Lizzie Cline Lester.

In addition to his parents, Jason was also preceded in death by 8 brothers: Hilden, Mike, Billy, Herbert, Sherman, Joe, Leck and Clyde; 2 sisters: Emmel and Ester Lester Davis.

Jason was a loving husband, father, grandfather, brother, uncle and a friend to many. He was a retired coal miner and a longtime member of 50 years at the Ikes Fork Freewill Baptist Church. He enjoyed going to church, camping, and spending time with his family and friends. Jason will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved him.

Those left to cherish the memory of Jason and to mourn his passing include his loving wife of 64 years, Emogene Bishop Lester; 3 sons: Randall (Missie) Lester of Justice, Denny (Linda) Lester of Gilbert, and Ken and fiancée Michelle England of Hanover; 1 very special daughter: Elizabeth Lester (Zeke) Hatfield of Baisden; 1 brother: Estil (Phyllis) Lester of Baisden; 3 grandsons whom he considered as his own sons: Caleb (Shannon) Lester of Clear Fork, Adam (Alisha) Hatfield of Gilbert and Jonathan Lester and his fiancée Kayla Chafin of Morgantown; 5 step grandchildren; 1 very special great granddaughter whom he called Paws little Angel, Kaitlyn Jae Lester and 2 step great grandsons; and a host of nieces, nephews, and a very special niece, Lesa Lester Compton, and a host of other relatives and friends.

Friends may gather with the family Friday, February 27, 2015 from 6 to 9 pm, with special service at 7 pm, at the Mounts Funeral Home Chapel in Gilbert. Funeral services will be Saturday, February 28, 2015 at 1:00 pm at the Mounts Funeral Home Chapel in Gilbert with the Rev. Homer Blankenship Jr., Rev. Clyde Endicott and Rev. James Cline officiating.

Jason will be carried to his final resting place by pallbearers: Brian Lester, Wesley Lester, Chris Champaign, Kevin Cline, Brandon Cline, Charlie McNeely, Stevie Lester and Anthony Vannatter. Honorary pallbearers will be: Rueben Mitchell, Charles (Snookie) Cline, Gary StClair, Larry Cline and Doug Bledsoe. Burial will follow in the Jason Lester Family Cemetery at Baisden.

Jason is gone from our sight but will forever live in our hearts.
