Juanita Hatfield Carter, 70, of Browning Fork, departed this life to join her Heavenly Father on November 12, 2014, from Logan Regional Medical Center. She was the loving daughter of the late Jesse and Mary Hatfield of Browning Fork.
She was born on December 4, 1943, at Browning Fork. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her daughter, Sherry Collins; her brothers: Moss, Joe, Virgil, and Jesse Hatfield, Jr.; her sisters: Ethel Berry, Betty Hatfield, Minnie Morgan, Kathy Ball, and Izetta Collins.
Juanita was a homemaker. She was a Born Again Christian and loved going to church. She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, sister, and friend. Juanita will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved her.
Those left to love and cherish her memories are her loving husband, Rush Carter of Browning Fork; her eight sons: Terry (Mary) Carter, Scott Carter, Keith Carter, and Cody Carter, all of Browning Fork, Gerry (Drema) Carter of Switzer, Michael (Lorraine) Carter of Brenton, Jeffery (Gail) Carter of Delbarton, and Jamie (Julie) Carter of Key Rock; her grandchildren: Ashley Carter, Chasity Layne, Keisha Carter, Briana Carter, Charlie and Chris Carter, Jessica Powers, Crystal Lawrence, and Jeffery Collins; her great-grandchildren: Chastin Layne, Austin, Brooke and Gabriella Powers; her son-in-law, John Collins; her brothers: Arvil (Rita) Hatfield, Arnold (Betty) Hatfield and Layton (Crystal) Hatfield; her sister: Emogene (Roby) Hatfield; and her caregiver: Emily Pack, along with a host of other dear relatives and friends.
Friends may gather with the family on Saturday, November 15th from 6-9 pm at the Mounts Funeral Home Chapel, where a special church service will begin at 7 pm.
Funeral services will commence on Sunday, November 16th at 1 pm at the chapel with Rev. Gary Starr and Rev. Denny May officiating.
Burial will follow in the Carter Family Cemetery at Browning Fork. Juanita will be carried to her final resting place by family.
She may be gone from our site but never from our hearts.

Visitation: Saturday, November 15th from 6-9 pm
Funeral: Sunday, November 16th at 1 pm
Place: Mounts Funeral Home Chapel in Gilbert, WV
