Obituary

Kameron Michael Walker, 6 of Havaco, departed this life on Monday, January 9th, 2012, at CAMC-General Division.

Born on April 18, 2005 at Bluefield, he was the son on Jennifer Jones-Walker and David Gilkerson.

Kameron was a happy child, enjoyed life to the fullest.  He fought a long hard battle in his six years of life.  He enjoyed his shopping spree from the Make A Wish Foundation and was going to Disney World in April to see his favorite person, “Mickey Mouse”.  He loved to yell hey “Toodles”.  He loved trains and fire trucks.  Welch Fire Department granted his wish to ride the fire truck in the Veteran’s Day Parade.  He was a kindergarten student at Welch Elementary and loved his teacher Ms. Suffle and his aide Mrs. Haskins.  Kameron will be greatly missed by all who were privileged to have met him.

Those left to love and cherish the memory of Kameron and to mourn his passing include his parents: Jennifer Jones-Walker and David Gilkerson of Havaco; his brother, Gary “Joey” Walker of Havaco; his grandparents: Joe and Susan Jones of Havaco, Bessie Farley of Branchland and Charles and Sue Patton of Elbert; his uncles:  James Jones of Philadelphia Tennessee, Rick (Pam) Patton of Wytheville, Kenneth (Patty) Patton of Greenwood South Carolina and Stephen (Lesa) Patton of Morgantown; his aunts:  Stephanie Noe of Havaco, Diana (Patrick) Honosky of Filbert, Sherry (Danny) Taylor of Abingdon Virginia, Kimberly (Bill) Bowman of Bluefield and Betty Jones of Havaco; his special cousins:  Emily and Kayla Noe of Havaco; and a host of other dear family and friends.

Friends may gather with the family at the Church of Jesus Christ Latter Day Saints at Welch on Friday, January 13th from 11 am to 1 pm.

Funeral service will commence at 1 pm at the Church of Jesus Christ Latter Day Saints with Elder Charles Patton and Rev. Rick Patton officiating.

Burial will follow in the Roselawn Memorial Gardens at Princeton.

Kameron will be carried to his final resting place by his uncles.

He is gone from our sight but never from our hearts.

He is with his Holy Father!! He sure was a darling little fella.......

Kameron was an amazing little guy. He will forever have a special place in my heart. I am very thankful that I had the opportunity to be a part of life even if it was just for a short while. He will forever be remember for his love of life and school buses, fire trucks and trains. I am so glad that he had the opportunity to ride the school bus last year... he loved it. My thoughts and prayers are with you, he was a very special little boy and always pawpaw's baby.May God wrap you in his loving arms and provide you strength.God Bless you.
