Obituary

Leck Lester, 85 of Gilbert, departed this life on Saturday, January 21^st, 2012, at his residence.

Born on February 18, 1926, at Baisden, he was the son of the late Dave and Lizzie Lester.

In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by one son, David Lester; six brothers:  Clyde, Mike, Herbert, Hilden, Billy and Sherman Lester; and two sisters:  Esther Davis and Emmel Lester.

Leck was a loving husband, father, grandfather, great and great-great grandfather, brother, uncle and friend.  He was a retired coal miner and loved  playing music and singing.  He will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved him.

Those left to love and cherish the memory of Leck and to mourn his passing include his wife Marsha Ann Walls Lester of Gilbert; his son, Leslie (Treena) Lester of Gilbert; his three daughters:  Dreama (Doug) Williamson of Gilbert, Louise (Marlin) Ellis of Columbus OH and Wanda Cline also of Columbus OH; his four step-children:  Amy, Michelle and Adam Walls, all of Hanover, and Deborah Buchanan of Topton NC; his three brothers:  Joe Lester of Logan, Jason (Emogene) Lester and Estil (Phyllis) Lester of Baisden; a host of grandchildren, great and great-great grandchildren; and a host of other dear family and friends.

Friends may gather with the family at the Mounts Funeral Home Chapel in Gilbert on Thursday, January 26^th from 12:00 Noon to 2:00 pm.

Funeral services will commence at 2:00 pm on January 26^th at the Mounts Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Clayton Cline officiating.

Burial will follow in the Dave and Lizzie Lester Family Cemetery at Baisden.

Leck will be carried to his final resting place by family and friends.

He is gone from our sight but never from our hearts.
