Obituary
Maxine Caserta Justice, 85 of Crown, went home to be with the Lord on Monday, January 30th, 2012, from Logan Regional Medical Center, after a long term illness.
Born on February 14, 1926, at Taplin, she was the daughter of the late Boyd and Elberta McClellan Davis Sr.
In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her first husband, Gary A. Caserta, her second husband, Hi William Justice, her sister, Roxie Ellis Colston, her two brothers: Boyd Davis, Jr. and Ralph Davis, her sister-in-law, Lydia Davis, a special sister-in-law, who was like a sister, Virgie Davis, and one great-granddaughter, Kristen Caserta.
Maxine was a loving and devoted mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, sister, aunt and friend. She was a homemaker and of the Jesus Name faith. Her hobbies included a love of reading and arguing with her son-in-law, Jimmie Belcher. She loved spending time with her wonderful family and friends and will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved her.
Those left to love and cherish the memory of Maxine and to mourn her passing include her daughter, Phyllis (Rev. Jim) Belcher, with whom she made her home, of Crown; her two sons: Richard (Pam) Caserta and Terry (Linda) Caserta, both of Crown; her nine grandchildren: Lisa Belcher of Crown, Cyndi (Kenny) Smith of Bruno, Richelle (Floyd) Kirk of Henlawson, Nathan (Katrina) Caserta of Crown, Stephanie (Robbie) Nelson of Robinette, Jason (Tammy) Caserta of Crown, Brian (Misty) Caserta of Kistler, Aaron Caserta (Melissa Lester) of Crown, and Gary (Leigh-Ann) Caserta of Green Valley; her sixteen great-grandchildren; her two step-great-grandchildren, her great-great- granddaughter, Auna Grimmett; and a host of other dear family and friends.
The family would like to express their thanks to Dr. Radha and the 4th floor staff at Logan Regional Medical Center for all the love, compassion and care they have given.
Friends may gather with the family at the Sandlick Freewill Baptist Church at Bruno on Thursday, February 2nd from 6 pm to 10 pm.
Funeral services will be held at 1:00 pm on Friday, February 3rd at the Sandlick Freewill Baptist Church with the Rev. Bill Cantrell officiating.
Burial will follow at Highland Memorial Gardens at Godby Heights of Pecks Mill.
Maxine will be carried to her final resting place by her grandsons: Kenny Smith, Nathan, Jason, Brian, Aaron and Gary Caserta.
She is gone from our sight but never from our hearts.
