Oma Lester

Oma Lester, 61 of Varney, departed this life on February 28, 2017 from Williamson Memorial Hospital. Born October 13, 1955 at Welch, WV she was the daughter of the late Joe & Bell Hatfield. In addition to her parents Oma was preceded in death by a sister: Edna Hatfield; 2 brothers: Tom Hatfield and Joe Hatfield. Oma was a loving wife, mother, sister, aunt and friend. She enjoyed spending time with her family and was of the Church of God Faith. Those left to love and cherish the memory of Oma and to mourn her passing include her husband: Ezra Lester of Varney; 2 daughters: Angeline Lester of Varney and Lucille Lester of Chapmanville; brother: Harry Hatfield of Browning Fork; sister: Pansy Chapman of Kentucky; 5 sister-in-laws: Charlottte Wykle of Varney, Dora Ann Lester of Ragland, Vicie Koffe of Ragland, Lisa Hatfield of Copperstone, Darlene Bryant of Cub Creek; 2 brother-in-laws: Roscoe Lester of Hanover and Abby Lester of Ragland; many nieces and nephews and a host of other dear family and friends. Friends may gather with the family on Saturday, March 4, 2017 and Sunday, March 5, 2017 after 6:00 pm at the Pentecostal House of Prayer at Varney. Funeral services will commence on Monday, March 6, 2017 at 2:00 pm at the Pentecostal House of Prayer with the Rev. Russell Prince and Rev. David Hatfield officiating. Oma will be carried to her final resting place by Junior Koffe, Bobby Koffe, Russell Lester, Rod Ferrell, Russell Prince and Jordan Koffe. In Lieu of flowers the family requests that donations be made to Mounts Funeral Home, Inc. P.O. Box 1567 Gilbert, WV 25621. She is gone from our sight but never from our hearts.
