Obituary
Rose Ann Johnson, 71 of Gilbert, went home to be with her Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ, and to join her many loved ones waiting for her in heaven, on Monday, December 26th, 2011, from Cabell Huntington Hospital.
Born on July 28, 1940 at Rush Kentucky, she was the daughter of the late Leonard and Ruth Hensley Jones.
In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her first husband, Sylvester Auville.
Rose was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, sister, aunt and friend. She was a retired restaurant cook and a member of the Bruno Church of God. She loved going to church and being with her church family. She also loved spending time with her wonderful family and friends. She will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved her.
Those left to love and cherish the memory of Rose and to mourn her passing include her loving husband of 18 years, Ernest Johnson of Gilbert; her son, Leonard “Butch” (Kathryn “Lou”) Auville of Tamcliffe; her daughter, Tina (Jerome) Trent of Baisden; her three granddaughters: Kayla Auville of Tamcliffe and Candace and Alyssa Trent, both of Baisden; her grandson, Corbin Auville of Tamcliffe; her expected great-grandson, Matthew Logan Whitt; her sister, Frances (Paul) Kennedy of La Grange Ohio; her two brothers: John (Sharon) Jones of Columbus Ohio and Jim (Emma Jean) Jones of Huron Ohio; and many nieces and nephews and a host of other relatives and friends.
Friends may gather with the family at the Bruno Church of God at Bruno on Thursday, December 29th after 6 pm with a special service at 7 pm.
Funeral services will be held at 12 noon on Friday, December 30th at the Bruno Church of God with the Rev. Roger Frye officiating.
Burial will follow in the Hollywood Cemetery at Gilbert.
Rose will be carried to her final resting place by: Brad Butcher, Milton Johnson, Charles Osborne, Brian and David Abbott, and Bernard Blankenship.
Honorary pallbearers are: Clarence Trent, Frank Johnson and Paul A. Noble.
