Steve Blaine Buchanan, 53 of Dandridge, TN, passed away on July 20, 2010. Born April 14, 1957 at Welch, WV he was the son of Eileen Hatfield Buchanan Cook and the late Arthur Blaine Buchanan, Jr. Steve was preceded in death by his grandparents Charles & Naomi Hatfield, Arthur Blaine & Orpha Cook Buchanan. Steve was a loving son, father, grandfather, brother, uncle and friend. He was a lightweight & heavyweight professional boxing trainer and coach. He enjoyed coon, turkey and deer hunting. He loved golfing and being outdoors. Steve served in the United States Navy and earned the National Defense Service Medal. Those left to love and cherish the memory of Steve and to mourn his passing include his mother and step father Eileen and Lewis Cook of Gilbert, WV; 2 daughters: Scarlet Buchanan of Baisden, and Staci Buchanan Queen of Beechcreek; 4 grandchildren: Weston Christian, Ashton Huff, Mendi Sparks and Maggie Queen; 2 brothers: Marty (Lisa) Buchanan of Browning Fork & Timothy (Loretta) Buchanan of Baisden; sister: Kimberly Lester of Dandridge, TN., a host of nieces, nephews and other dear family and friends. A memorial service will be held at Mounts Funeral Home Chapel on Saturday, August 16, 2014 from 6-9pm. Funeral services will be conducted on Sunday, August 17, 2014 at 1:00pm at Mounts Funeral Home Chapel with the Bishop Anthony Hudgins officiating. Burial will follow at Hollywood Cemetery, Gilbert, WV with Chris May, Ricky Queen, Sheldon Collins, Clinton Heath Lester, Steve Blackburn and David Sparks serving as pallbearers. Steve was a man of love, and was loved by all who knew him.

Visitation: Saturday, August 16, 2014 at Mounts Funeral Home Chapel from 6-9pm
Funeral: Sunday, August 17, 2014 at 1:00pm at Mounts Funeral Home Chapel
