Thelma Stanley Gibson, 84 of Wharncliffe, departed this life on Wednesday, June 8, 2016 from Logan Regional Medical Center to meet her Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. Born May 24, 1932 at Wharncliffe, she was the daughter of the late Wesley & Monoshia Stanley. Thelma was preceded in death by her loving husband Robert Gibson; her only son: Robert Eric Gibson; granddaughter: Nicole Stanley; sister: Ethel Rasnick. Thelma was a member of the Ben Creek Free Pentecostal Holiness Church and she loved to read her bible. She enjoyed sitting on the porch and spending time with her family. Thelma was a loving mother, grandmother, sister, aunt and friend. She will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved her. Those left to cherish her memories are her 5 daughters: Connie Jean Bailey, Rose (Timmy Cline) Stanley, Carol (Jerry) Ellis, Jennifer Gibson and Sandy (Teddy) Cline all of Wharncliffe; 3 grandchildren: Erica Stanley, Brandon Bailey and Lee (K-Luh) Ellis III; 6 great-grandchildren: Devin Stanley, Hayley Cline, Dylan Stanley, Shayla Stanley, Bryson Ellis and Donovan Stanley; sister: Ella Williams of New Mexico; nieces and nephews and a host of other dear family and friends. Friends may gather with the family on Sunday, June 12, 2016 from 6-9 pm at the Ben Creek Free Pentecostal Holiness Church. Funeral services will commence on Monday, June 13, 2016 at 1:00 pm at the church with the Rev. Denny May and Danny Ward Officiating. Burial will follow at Beechfork Cemetery at Wharncliffe. Thelma will be carried to her final resting place by Jerry Ellis, Gary Dean, Lee Ellis, Mick Ellis, Teddy "Buck" Cline, Timmy Cline, Devin Stanley and Timmy "Murdock" Ellis. Honorary Pallbearer is Brandon Bailey. She is gone from our sight but never from our hearts.

Visitation: Sunday, June 12, 2016 at Ben Creek Free Pentecostal Holiness Church from 6-9 pm
Funeral: Monday, June 13, 2016 at 1:00 pm at the Church
