Vidie Berry

Vidie Berry, 67 departed this life Monday, April 25, 2016 from Pikeville Medical Center. Born February 14, 1949 at Baisden, she was the daughter of the late Mose and Polly (Roberts) Christian. In addition to her parents, Vidie was also preceded in death by her daughter: Verly Christian; son: Jimmy Davis; sister: Versie Stanley; her brothers: Virgil, Verlo, Vinson and Verlin Christian. Vidie enjoyed watching television and spending time with her family and friends. Those left to love and cherish the memory of Vidie are her daughter: Melissa Jane Christian and companion Darrell White of Gilbert; her sons: Chuck Berry and James Davis, both of Gilbert; her brothers: Vanno and Vernal Christian; her grandchildren: Crystal Davis and Jimmy Davis, Jr.; her great grandchildren: Tia Marie Davis and Jada Love Davis. She also leaves behind a host of other family and friends. Friends may gather with the family Thursday, April 28, 2016 after 6 pm at the Full Gospel Church of God, Baisden, WV. Funeral services will commence at the church Friday, April 29, 2016 at 1:00 pm with the Rev. Jonas Trent officiating. Burial will follow in the May-Ellis Cemetery at Gilbert Creek, Gilbert, WV. Vidie will be carried to her final resting place by pallbearers: Timothy, Cory, and Joe Coy, Charles, Michael and Dwayne Christian, Darrell White and Todd Morgan. She may be gone from our sight, but never from our hearts.
