Charles Q. Browning, 62, of Accoville, departed this life on Wednesday, October 10, 2018, from Pikeville Medical Center in Pikeville, KY.
Born April 25, 1956, at Logan, he was the son of the late Sherman and Alice Wilburn Beckett Browning. In addition to his parents, he is also preceded in death by two brothers: Noah Beckett and Roger Beckett; and two sisters: Donna (Thomas) Colegrove and Joan Ferrell.
Charles was a loving son, husband, father, grandfather, brother, uncle, and friend. Charles had worked as a coal miner for 20 years. He was an avid WVU sports fan. An outgoing personality, Charles enjoyed talking with others, and he never met a stranger. He also loved spending time with his family and friends, especially his precious grandchildren.
Those left to love and cherish his memory are his loving wife, Hope Browning of Accoville; three sons: Chad Michael Browning of Man, Charles Ryan Browning of Accoville, and Gary Glen Hatfield of Hurricane; two grandchildren: Liam Parker Browning and Khloe Elizabeth Wallace; three sisters: Carol (Larry) Bragg of Kistler, Ruth (John) Elkins of Verdunville, and Connie Blankenship of Davin; one brother-in-law, Cletis “Butch” Ferrell of Mallory. Charles also leaves behind many nieces and nephews along with a host of other dear relatives and friends.
A memorial gathering will be held on Saturday, October 13, 2018, at the Accoville United Methodist Church from 3-6 pm.
In honor of Charles’ wishes, his remains have been cremated.
He is gone from our sight but never from our hearts.
