Curtis “Buddy” Cline, Sr., 79, of Baisden, entered into heavenly rest with the Lord on Thursday, May 24, 2018 from Pikeville Medical Center, KY.
Born January 14, 1939, he was the son of the late Emory and Eunice (Lester) Cline.
In addition to his parents, he was also preceded in death by his son: Curtis Cline, Jr.; sisters: Arlen Hamrick, Eleanor Cline and Christine Riffe; his great-grandson: Rylan Cline.
Curtis was an avid outdoorsman, who enjoyed hunting, fishing and gardening. He took great pride in keeping his lawn mowed and clean. He was also an avid sports fan, especially for the West Virginia Mountaineers and the Cincinnati Reds. He was a member of the Four Winds Tabernacle Church.
Those left to love and to cherish his memory are his loving wife of 59 years: Rita Cline of Baisden; his children: Angie (Terry) Likens of Verner, Tina Cline and Nina (Joey) Cline all of Baisden; grandchildren: Justin Likens, Natasha, Joshua, and Brittany Cline and Whittney Bowens; his great-grandchildren: Mallory Brooke, Ryker Jace, Anthony Lee and Joshua Kyle Cline, Jr., Liam Michael and Mila Rose Daryanani and Paul Edward Bowens, III; special nephew: Anthony P. Cline of Hampden. He also leaves behind many nieces, nephews and a host of other relatives and friends.
Friends may gather with the family Tuesday, May 29, 2018 from 12:00 to 1:00 pm at the Four Winds Tabernacle, where a celebration of life service will commence at 1:00 pm with the Rev. Clayton Cline and Rev. Kenny Poole officiating. Burial will follow in the Heavenly Homestead Cemetery at Baisden, WV.
Curtis will be carried to his final resting place by his family and friends.
His gentle heart and wonderful smile will be greatly missed by all who were fortunate to have known and loved him.
