Danny Ray Mounts Sr.

Danny Ray Mounts Sr., of Conway, SC formerly of Gilbert departed this life suddenly at his home on Wednesday, October 30, 2019.

Born November 19, 1956 at Iaeger he was the son of the late Joseph and Edith (Hensley) Mounts.

In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by his sister: Wanda Mounts; mother in law: Maerene Mounts; brother in law: Ronnie Mounts.

Danny was a loving son, husband, father, grandfather, brother, uncle and friend.

He loved to golf, watch the West Virginia Mountaineers, his Pittsburgh Steelers and Nascar.  He was a member of the Pawleys Island Lodge #409.

Those left to love and cherish the memory of Danny and to mourn his passing include his loving wife: Jennifer Mounts of Conway, SC; his two sons: Danny Ray (Katie) Mounts Jr. of Blountville, TN and Joseph Blake Mounts of Conway, SC; the light of his life his granddaughter: Morgan Hensley Mounts of Blountville, TN; his brother: Ricky (Colleen) Mounts of Gilbert; brother and sister in law: Mark and Linda Cline of Baisden; his nephews: Brett Browning, Brock Mounts, Brandon Mounts, Mark Cline and Matthew Cline; and a host of other dear family and friends.

Friends may gather with the family on Saturday, November 2, 2019 at Mounts Funeral Home Chapel at 2:00 pm.  Funeral services will commence at 4:00 pm with the Rev. Brian Warden officiating.

Burial will follow at Mounts Family Cemetery at Gilbert with Masonic Rights being performed by Iaeger Lodge #148 A.F. & A.M.

To honor his wishes Danny will be cremated.

In lieu of flowers the family ask that donations be made to Mounts Funeral Home to help with the funeral expenses.

“Big Dan” will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved him.
