Delmo New

Delmo New, 76 of Baisden, departed this life on Sunday, December 3, 2017 from his residence surrounded by his loving family.

Born May 26, 1941 at Baisden he was the son of the late Boyd & Naomi (Justice) New.

In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by his loving wife Nancy New; brother: Rayburn New; sisters: Joan, Georgia, Madglene & Evelyne; special brother-in-law: Earl Blackburn.

Delmo was a loving husband, father, grandfather, brother, uncle and friend.  He loved his Lord & Savior Jesus Christ first and foremost.  He enjoyed spending time with his beloved family and friends.  He enjoyed fishing and hunting and loved to talk to anyone, anywhere.

Those left to love and cherish his memories and to mourn his passing include his two daughters: Angel (Rick) Gibson of Baisden; Alice (Freel) Blankenship of Baisden; son: Eddie (Della) New of Baisden; six grandchildren: Anthony Gibson, C.D. Thomas, Haley New, Jayden New, Joy New and Brett New; brother: Randy (Dago) New of Baisden; five sisters: Patty (late Earl) Blackburn of Baisden, Eunice (Hank) Berry of Sissonville, Loretta (Paul) Kennedy of Justice, Diana (Harvey) Stepp of Mohawk and Joyce (Phillip) Robinson of Verner; many nieces and nephews and a host of other dear family and friends.

Friends may gather with the family on Wednesday, December 6, 2017 from 6-9 pm at the Baisden Community Church.  Funeral services will commence on Thursday, December 7, 2017 at the Baisden Community Church at 1:00 pm with the Rev. Denny May officiating.

Delmo will be laid to rest at the Rayburn New Cemetery at Baisden.

He will be carried to his final resting place by Anthony Gibson, CD Thomas, Clark Blackburn, family & friends. Honorary pallbearers include: Eddie New, Rick Gibson, Freel Blankenship Bobby (late Elaine) New, Terry New and T-Bug Mounts.

He is gone from our sight but never from our hearts.
