Delorise Ooten Vinson, 77, of Delbarton, went home to the with the Lord on Monday, October 1, 2018, from her residence.
Born September 26, 1941, at Holden, she was the daughter of the late Silas and Ollie (Runyon) Ooten. In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by two sons: Darrel Vinson and Estil “Brother” Vinson.
Delorise was a loving daughter, wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, and friend. She enjoyed sewing, cooking, and singing. She was a member of the Full Gospel Church of God where she served as treasurer many years ago. Delorise will be specifically known for her delicious apple pies. She also loved spending time with her family and friends.
Those left to love and cherish the memory of Delorise and mourn her passing are her husband, Estil Lee Vinson of Delbarton; one daughter, Elizabeth (Arville) Sargent of Chapmanville; nine grandchildren: Breona (JV) Keener of Fayetteville, Anthony (Brittany) New of Gilbert, Ashley (Gary Keith) Vannatter of Delbarton, Cassondra (Bill) Collins of Delbarton, Tiffany Steele of Oceana, Lana (DJ) Davis of Cyclone, Brandon (Tiffany) Hall of Ripley, Ricky (Mikelle) Vinson of Charleston, and Aimee Runyon of Franklinville, NC; 14 great-grandchildren. Delorise also leaves behind a host of other dear relatives and friends.
Friends may gather with the family on Thursday, October 4, 2018, at the Full Gospel Church of God at Baisden from 6-9 pm. Funeral services will be conducted on Friday, October 5, 2018, at 1:00 pm at the church with Rev. Jonas Trent and Bro. Learmon Mounts officiating.
Burial will follow in the Justice Memorial Gardens at Justice. Family and friends will serve as pallbearers.
Her wonderful smile and gentle heart will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved her.
