Dennis Morgan, 76, of North Spring, WV passed away peacefully, Tuesday, January 16, 2018 at his residence.
Dennis was born July 1, 1941 in North Spring, WV, a son of the late Claude and Dorothy Morgan.
He was a retired diesel mechanic and coal miner and was a member of the Hanover Missionary Baptist Church. He enjoyed playing the guitar, working on cars and studying the Bible. Dennis was a humble, loving man and a lifelong Christian who loved his family and his church and always had a kind word for everyone. He attended Baileysville High School and received a certificate of completion from the Commercial Trades Institute in Automotive Mechanics.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife Faye (Morrison) Morgan, one brother, Eddie Morgan, of North Spring, WV and one granddaughter, Candace Morgan.
Those left to cherish his memory include two sons, Timothy Morgan and Jonathen (Tara) Morgan both of North Spring, WV, one daughter, Cherri (Kevin) Hatfield of Gilbert, WV, two granddaughters, Cortney (Devon) Keneda of North Spring, WV, Amber (Barry) Hatfield of Ashland, KY, one grandson, Jacob Morgan of North Spring, WV, one great-granddaughter, Callie Keneda of North Spring, WV, one brother, Joe (Geraldine) Morgan of Hanover, WV, one sister, Charlotte Morgan of North Spring, WV one sister-in-law: Rita Morgan of North Spring; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends who will miss him dearly.
Friends may gather with the family on Saturday, January 20, 2018 at the Hanover Missionary Baptist Church from 12:00 pm – 2:00 pm. Funeral services will commence at 2:00 pm with the Rev. Jackie Lester officiating.
Burial will follow at Morgan Family Cemetery at North Spring, WV.
His tender smile and loving heart will be missed by all who knew and loved him.
