Donald Ray Lester

Donald Ray Lester, 84 of Baisden, WV departed this life on Thursday, December 5, 2019 from Logan Regional Medical Center.

Born January 22, 1935 at Baisden, he was the son of the late Burgess and Eliza Lester.

In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by his loving wife: Julia Blankenship Lester; and several brothers and sisters.

Donald was loving son, husband, father, grandfather, brother, uncle and friend.  He loved carpentry and loved spending time outdoors.

Those left to love and cherish the memory of Donald and to mourn his passing include his son: Jeff (Sabina) Lester of Justice; daughter: Sherry (Joe) Cline of Isaban; six grandchildren: Paul (Melina) Cline of Ikes Fork, Michelle (Donald) Browning of Verner, Bonnie (Bo) Ferrell of Gilbert, Josh (Miranda) Lester of Alabama, Staci Hatfield Crigger of Justice and Cameron Hatfield of Justice; 8 great grandchildren; two sisters: Mary Cline of Baisden and Gladys Rutledge of Gilbert; special nephew: Clinton Lester of Gilbert and special niece: Retha Geehan of Florida; many nieces and nephews and a host of other dear family and friends.

Friends may gather with the family on Monday, December 9, 2019 at Mounts Funeral Home Chapel from 6-9 pm.  Funeral services will commence on Tuesday, December 10, 2019 at Mounts Funeral Home Chapel at 1:00 pm with the Rev. Clifford Rawls officiating.

Burial will follow in the Lee Blankenship Cemetery at Baisden, WV.

Donald will be carried to his final resting place by family and friends.

He is gone from our sight but never from our hearts.
