Dustin Creg " Dusty" Dotson, 48 of Delbarton departed this life on Wednesday, June 13, 2018 from UPMC Pittsburgh, PA to meet his Lord and Savior Jesus Christ.
Born October 19, 1969 at Welch, he was the son of Mildred Dotson Honosky and James Walter “Dusty” Dotson.
Dusty was preceded in death by his grandparents: Frank & Goldie Bramlett.
Dusty was a loving son, husband, father, brother, uncle and friend. He loved his girls Sierra Brooke and Kylie Paige more than anything in this world. Dusty graduated from Iaeger High School in 1987, where he was the McDowell County Wrestling Champ. Dusty loved weightlifting, playing and coaching softball, and being a dad to his children. Dusty loved being a coal miner and always gave 110% when working in the coal mines. He was a member of the First Missionary Baptist Church of Justice.
Those left to love and cherish the memory of Dusty and to mourn his passing include his loving wife Kimberly Poe Dotson of Delbarton; his two precious daughters: Sierra Brooke Dotson and Kylie Paige Dotson both of Delbarton; mother: Mildred Dotson Honosky of Iaeger; father: James Walter “Dusty” Dotson of VA; brother: Danny (Heather) Honosky of Iaeger; two nieces: Hannah Honosky and Addison Honosky of Iaeger; mother and father in law: Alice and Clarence Poe of Wharncliffe; grandfather in law: Clarence VanNatter of Wharncliffe; sister in law: Marty (Danny) Mann of Hinton; four brother in laws: Keith (Stephanie) Poe of Gilbert, Jeff (Ginny) Poe of Iowa, Glen (Heather) Poe of Beckley and Steve (Veronica) Poe of Chapmanville; many nieces and nephews and a host of other dear family and friends.
Friends may gather with the family on Sunday, June 17, 2018 from 6-9 pm at The First Missionary Baptist Church of Justice. Funeral services will commence on Monday, June 18, 2018 at 1:00 pm at the church with the Rev. Jim Nagy and Brother Timer May officiating.
Burial will follow at Forest Lawn Cemetery at Pecks Mill, WV.
Dusty will be carried his final resting place by Danny Honosky, Keith Poe, Jeff Poe, Glen Poe, Steve Poe, Will Poe, Danny Mann and Chaston Poe.
His wonderful smile and tender heart will be missed by all who knew and loved him.
