Edgar Cline

Edgar Cline, 71 of Wharncliffe, departed this life on Wednesday, September 26, 2018 from Logan Regional Medical Center to meet his Lord and Savior Jesus Christ.

Born February 3, 1947 at Wharncliffe, he was the son of the late Thomas and Carrie (Trent) Cline.

In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by one brother: Willie Jean Cline.

Edgar was a loving husband, father, grandfather, brother, uncle and friend.  He had a great passion for Fox Hunting.  He attended the Ben Creek Free Pentecostal Holiness Church and Faith Church of God.  He enjoyed spending time with his family and friends.

Those left to love and cherish the memory of Edgar and to mourn his passing include his loving wife: Brenda Cline of Wharncliffe; his three children: Eddy Jo (Michelle) Cline of Wharncliffe, Katrina (Ferlin) Christian of Red Jacket, and Buck Teddy (Sandy) Cline of Wharncliffe; four grandchildren: Joshua Johnson, Tonya (Shawn) Plathy, Tyler Johnson, and Hayley Cline; one great grandson: Patrick Plathy; two brothers: Anse Cline of Baisden and Rush Cline of Wharncliffe; six sisters: Kathleen Trent, Liza Trent both of Wharncliffe, Erma Trent of Baisden, Juanita Coleman of Bull Creek, Mary Kincaid of North Carolina and Dorene Gilman of Gilbert; many nieces and nephews and a host of other dear family and friends.

Friends may gather with the family on Friday, September 28, 2018 at Ben Creek Free Pentecostal Holiness Church from 6-9 pm.  Funeral service will commence at 1:00 on Saturday, September 29, 2018 at the church with the Rev. Denny May and Rev. Danny Ward officiating.

Burial will follow at the Springfork Cemetery at Wharncliffe, WV.

Edgar will be carried to his final resting place by family and friends.

His loving smile and tender heart will be greatly missed by all who knew and love him.
