Elsie Lee Rose

Elsie Lee Rose, 76 of Isaban, WV departed this life to meet her Lord and Savior Jesus Christ on Thursday, January 10, 2019 from her daughter’s residence at Fort Gay, WV.

Born May 25, 1942 at Mohawk, WV she was the daughter of the late Valley and Allie (Belcher) Lester.

In addition to her parents Elsie was preceded in death by her loving husband: Gilmer Lee Rose; grandson: Steven Lee Rose; sisters: Deloris, Phyllis, Shirley and Darlene; step-brother: Junior Roberts; step-mother: Winnie Lester.

Elsie was a member of the Isaban Baptist Church.  She enjoyed working in her flowers, playing cards especially Take Five, and working in puzzle books.  

Those left to love and cherish the memory of Elsie and to mourn her passing include her brother: Edward Lester of Beckley; her daughters: Drema (Bo) Hurley of Fort Gay, Rhonda (Steve) Congrove of Lewis Center, OH; sons: Jeffrey (Linda) Rose of Isaban, Heath Rose of Gilbert, WV; grandchildren: Morris (Stacy) Hurley, Felicia (Jeff) Johnson, Cierra Congrove, Sasha (Dustin) Marcum and Allison Rose; great grandchildren: Brooklyn and Isabella Hurley, Kristen and Faith Johnson, Maci, McKenna and Mia Marcum, Nicholaus and Destiny Rose; half-sisters: Donna Perry and Freddie Jo Combs; half-brothers: Eugene Lester and Brian Lester; special nieces: Sherri, Laura, Jean, Connie, Tracy, Sam and Jarlene.

Friends may gather with the family on Sunday, January 13, 2019 at Isaban Baptist Church, Isaban, WV from 1:00 – 2:00 PM.  Funeral services will commence at 2:00 pm with the Rev. Gary Justice officiating.  

Burial will follow at Four Pole Creek Cemetery at Isaban.

Elsie will be carried to her final resting place by family and friends.

Her beautiful smile and tender heart will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved her.
