Eurydice Jean Ferrell

Eurydice Jean Ferrell, 88 of Gilbert, departed this life Wednesday, February 13, 2019 from her residence.

Born October 1, 1930 at Gilbert, she was the daughter of the late Bruce and Lona (Workman) Perry.

In addition to her parents, she was also preceded in death by her husband: Jackie O. Ferrell, Sr.; sons: Kenneth Richard Ferrell and Jackie Ferrell, Jr., her stillborn infant son: Timmy Ferrell; daughter: Kathy Marie Watson; grandson: Charlie Ferguson; sister-in-law: Lena M. Runyon .

Eurydice was a loving mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, sister, aunt and friend to many.  She was a retired Teacher Aide of the Mingo County BOE.  She attended the Freedom Full Gospel Assembly House of Prayer and the First Missionary Baptist Church of Gilbert.  She enjoyed cooking and socializing with her friends and family.  She loved going to church and singing, she also loved traveling.

Those left to love and cherish her memory and to mourn her loss are her daughters: Debbie Hatfield, Sharon (Donald) Ferguson and Pamela (Billy) Hatfield, all of Gilbert, and Sheila Ferrell of Chiefland, FL; her sons: Bruce (Barva Ferguson) Ferrell and Jeffrey (Rosalie) Ferrell, all of Gilbert; grandchildren: Candace Ferrell Harrison of Charleston, Kenneth ( Bonnie) Ferrell II, Brianna Ferrell, Marietta  (Jason) Runyon and Charlotte Ferguson, all of Gilbert; her great-grandchildren: Tess Kinser of Logan, Makena Ferrell, Kennden Ferrell, Sedrick Ferrell, Hannah Ferrell, Brandon Ferrell, Bradley Ferrell, Jason Runyon and Robert Lee, all of Gilbert; son-in-law: Larry Watson of Gilbert; sister-in-law: Joyce Browning of Davin, Kitty Lee of Beckley, Sue Hatfield of North Carolina and Margie Brown of Parkersburg; her fur baby: Katie.  She also leaves behind a host of other dear relatives and friends.

Friends may gather with the family Saturday, February 16, 2019 from 6 to 9 pm at the Mounts Funeral Home Chapel, Gilbert, WV., with special service at 7:00 pm.  Funeral services will be Sunday, February 17, 2019 at 1:00 pm at the Freedom Full Gospel Assembly House of Prayer, Hampden, WV., with the Rev. Ronnie Lester and Rev. Carl “Cab” Wolford officiating.

Burial will follow in the Hatfield Cemetery at Hampden, WV.

Eurydice will be carried to her final resting place by her family and friends.

Her wonderful smile and gentle heart will be greatly missed by all who were fortunate to have known and loved her.
