George MacArthur Gillispie

George MacArthur Gillispie. 76, passed away peacefully in his sleep on June 7, 2018 at the Villas at City Center in Warren, Michigan.

He was born on April 19, 1942 to the late Charlie and Annis (Lawrence) Gillispie in Arnett, WV.

In addition to his parents he is also preceded in death by: one infant son; 3 sisters: Rosebud Young, Betty McGuire and Nona Rogers; 2 brothers: Charles Gillispie and Michael Gillispie.

Those left to love and cherish his memory are his wife: Sue; his son: George; his daughter: Beverly; his step-daughter: Julie (Brian) Ball; his grandchildren: Jacob and Brandon Gillispie, Summer and James Corey, Emily and Conner Ball; great-grandchildren: David and Matthew; sisters: Icie (William) Gritzinger, Opal (Louie) Grimmett, Lois (Clay) Browning; he is also survived by a host of nieces, nephews, grand nieces and grand nephews, as well as a host of longtime friends.

Friends and family will gather to celebrate his life on Saturday, June 30, 2018 at 11:00 am at the Verner Community Church with the Rev. Walter Grimmett and Rev. Phillip Grimmett officiating.
