Gloria Jean (Thomas) Poe

Gloria Jean (Thomas) Poe, 62, of Gilbert, WV, departed from this life on Tuesday, March 27, 2018 at her residence. Born August 18, 1955 in Riverview, WV, she was the daughter of the late Grover Thomas and Ruth (Blankenship) Thomas.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her brother, Elmer Sutters. 

Gloria was a loving wife, sister, daughter, aunt, and friend to all who knew her. She enjoyed spending time with family and friends.

Those left to love and cherish Gloria’s memory and to mourn her loss are her husband of 39 years, Randy Poe; her brothers: Larry (Tammy) Thomas, Charles Thomas, Robert (Michelle) Thomas all of Gilbert, WV; her sisters: Bonnie Richards and Wanda Bentley (Preston Short) both of Gilbert, WV. Additional survivors include many nieces, nephews, great-nieces, great-nephews, and her special friends Leonard (Misty) Pack and children.

She leaves behind a host of other loving relatives and friends.

Friends may gather with family at 12:00pm on Monday, April 2, 2018 at Riverview Freewill Baptist Church in Riverview, WV. Funeral services will commence at 1:00pm following her viewing with the Rev. Denny May and Rev. Michael Browning officiating.

Gloria will be carried to her final resting place by her family and friends at the Thomas Memorial Cemetery in Riverview, WV."
