Gora Browning

Gora Browning 72, of Gilbert departed this life on Saturday, July 14, 2018 from Pikeville Medical Center.

Born October 29, 1945 at Verner, he was the son of the late Lark & Sadie Browning.

In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by his son Mark Allen Browning.

Gora was a loving husband, father, grandfather, brother, uncle and friend.  He was a retired coal miner and a member of the UMWA.  Gora enjoyed hunting and being outdoors.  He was of the Baptist Faith.

Those left to love and cherish the memory of Gora and to mourn his passing include his loving wife: Evelyn Browning of Gilbert; Gary (Charmin Anderson) Browning of Wharncliffe, James (Brandi) Browning of Yolyn, Matthew Browning of Atlanta, Ga, Marcus (Billie Jo Laws) Browning of Landville; 2 daughters: Drema (Robert) Curry of Gilbert and Lynn Gravley of Verner; a very special son- in -law Robert Curry; 10 grandchildren and 2 great grandchildren; brother: Bernie Browning of Baileysville; many nieces and nephews and a host of other dear family and friends.

Friends may gather with the family on Wednesday, July 18, 2018 from 1:00 -2:00 pm at the Riverview Freewill Baptist Church, Slabtown, with funeral services commencing at 2:00 pm, with the Rev. Clyde Endicott and Rev. Roger Endicott officiating.

Burial will follow in the Leatherwood Memorial Cemetery at Justice.

Gora will be carried to his final resting place by family and friends.
