Harry Joseph Simpkins

Harry Joseph Keith Simpkins also known as “Joe” or “Dog”, 42 of Switzer departed this life on Friday, September 14, 2018 from his residence.

Born March 3, 1976 at South Williamson, KY he was the beloved son of Larry and Debra Simpkins of Beech Creek.

Joe was a loving son, husband, and father.  Joe was a 1994 graduate of Matewan High School.  He was an avid outdoorsman, he loved being in the mountains and riding his side by side.  He was always ready for a trip on his Harley Davidson, riding his motorcycle was his most treasured hobby.  He was a coal miner where he had made many friends through out life working as a miner.

Those left to love and cherish the memory of Joe and to mourn his passing include his loving wife: Stephanie Simpkins of Switzer; his beloved parents: Larry and Debra Simpkins of Beech Creek; his three beautiful daughters: Tiffany Huffman of North Carolina, Samantha Simpkins of Beech Creek and Hope Simpkins of Beech Creek; and his beloved dog: Lucky.

A memorial service will be scheduled at a later date and time.
