Helen Rae McCoy Cole, 73 departed this life Monday, March 5, 2018, quietly at home from esophageal cancer.

Helen was born on October 27, 1944 in McCarr, KY, to the late Columbus and Effie McCoy.

She graduated as valedictorian of Gilbert High School in Gilbert, WV. Helen worked for Nationwide Insurance in Clarks Summitt, Pennsylvania and Charlotte, North Carolina.

In addition to her parents, Helen was also preceded in death by her daughter: Susan; her sister: Olene; brothers: Paul and Bernard.

Helen was a loving wife, mother, and grandmother. She loved traveling, and visited eight different countries and many places in the United States with her devoted husband and companion of sixty years, Bill Cole.

Those left to love and cherish her memory and to mourn her loss are her husband: Bill Cole; her son: Joe Cole, daughter-in-law Maria; granddaughter: Mia; grandsons: Matthew and Michael; brother: Gerald. She also leaves behind a host of other loving relatives and friends.

A Memorial Service remembering and celebrating Helen’s life will be held on Saturday, March 10, 2018 at 11:00 a.m. at American Cremation Services.
