Janice (Hatfield) Elswick

Janice Elswick, 68 of Columbus, Ohio departed this life on Sunday, April 15, 2018 from her residence.

Born August 3, 1949 at Hampden, WV she was the daughter of the late Crawley Ezra and Helen Frances Hatfield.

In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her first husband: Buford Lester and her second husband: Brady Elswick.

Janice was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, sister, aunt and friend.  She enjoyed watching NCIS and enjoyed the company of her dog Tinkerbell.

Those left to love and cherish the memory of Janice and to mourn her passing include her 3 sons: Tom (Michelle Evans) Lester of Columbus, OH, Glen (Jackie) Elswick of Logan, and Noah Elswick of Granbury, TX; 2 sisters: Lisa Stanley of Raleigh, NC and Rhonda Garrett of Owensboro, KY; 5 granddaughters: Shautanna Endicott, Natalie Chambers, Leanne Taylor, Tabitha Taylor and Courtney Elswick; 2 grandsons: Austin Elswick and Aiden Jones; 6 great grandchildren; and a host of nieces and nephews and other dear family and friends.

Friends may gather with the family on Thursday, April 19, 2018 from 12:00 – 1:00 pm at The Gilbert Church of God.  Funeral services will commence at 1:00 pm with the Rev. Jonas Trent officiating.

Burial will follow at Christian Cemetery at Browning Fork.

Janice will be carried to her final resting place by family and friends.

Her beautiful heart and wonderful smile will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved her.
