Jeffery Dotson

Jeffery Dotson 53, of Varney went home to be with Our Lord Tuesday, February 20, 2018 from University of Kentucky Hospital.

Born April 20, 1964 at Williamson, WV he was the son of Goldie (Sparks) Dotson and late Emmer Dotson.

In addition to his father he was preceded in death by two brothers: Darrell & Jerry Dotson; sisters: Delana Cantrell and Shirley Hatfield.

He was a disabled coal miner, and former pastor of New Beginnings Christian Fellowship of Baisden.  He was a former studio musician and loved spending time with his family and studying the word of God.

Those left to love and cherish his memories are his wife of 31 years: Judith Gibson Dotson of Baisden; son: Brandon (Jeana) Dotson of Verner; daughter: Tori Dotson of Baisden; brother: Larry (Conda) Dotson of Justice; mother-in-law: Janice Gibson of Gilbert; brother-in-law: Richard Hatfield of Varney; sister-in-law: Treva Dotson of Wharncliffe; his special friend he called dad, Billy Earl Sanders of Hendersonville, TN; his great nephew: Kyler Brian Gibson that called him Pop Pop; and a host of family and friends in WV and Fl.

Friends may gather with the family on Friday, February 23, 2018 at Ben Creek Free Pentecostal Holiness Church of God from 6-9 pm.  The family ask that you com help them celebrate Jeffery moving to his new home in heaven on Saturday, February 24, 2018 at 2:00 pm with Rev. Denny May and Bishop Anthony Hudgins officiating.

Pallbearers are Brandon Dotson, Jason Gibson, Chris Hatfield, Jonathan Hatfield, Brett Dotson and Adam Rakes.

To honor his wishes Jeffery will be cremated.
