Jessica (Browning) McGlothlin

Mrs. Jessica Leann Browning McGlothlin, age 26, of Honaker, Virginia, passed away Tuesday (December 3, 2019) at her home. She was born March 9, 1993 in Logan, West Virginia. A 2011 graduate of Richlands High School, she had received a Music Degree and a Pharmacy Tech certificate from Southwest Virginia Community College, and was currently a first-year student at the Appalachian School of Pharmacy. She had formerly been employed at Tiger X Pharmacy and Pizza Plus. She had a very creative nature, enjoying drawing, painting, and writing, and had published her first book “Vermin Under the Skin”.
She was preceded in death by great-grandparents, Thurman and Theodocia Cline, Emmett and Olive Browning, Warren and Denton Hatfield, and Dolly and Wilson Adkins, and one aunt, Melissa Adkins.
Survivors include her husband, Sam McGlothlin of the home; her mother and step-father, Jennifer Lynn and Timothy Shortt of Cedar Bluff; her father and step-mother, Todd and Angel Browning of Gilbert, West Virginia; three siblings, Donovan Browning, Isabella Shortt, and Jenna Shortt; step-brother, Trevor Brayden Cline; maternal grandparents, Johnny and Debbie Adkins of Wardell; paternal grandparents, Emmett and Debbie Browning of Oceana, West Virginia and Shelia and David Sargent of Jefferson City, Tennessee; step-grandparents, Eric and Donna Shortt, and Rev. Denny and Nedra May; uncles and aunts, John Warren Adkins, Tina and Mark Blankenship, Kaitlyn and Dustin Hill, and Justin Shortt; father-in-law and mother-in-law, Michael and Angie McGlothlin; brothers-in-law, Bart McGlothlin and Will McGlothlin; nephew, Easton Jase Cline; two nieces, Bryleigh McGlothlin and Everleigh McGlothlin.
Funeral services will be conducted at 2:00 PM Saturday in the Honaker Funeral Home Chapel, Honaker, Virginia with Rev. Wayne Baldwin officiating. Interment will follow at the McGlothlin Cemetery on Big A Mountain, Virginia.
Pallbearers will be Jordan Whitt, Kevin Stump, Chris Compton, Tyler Rhea, Noah Smith, and Austin Cox.
Honorary pallbearers will be Donovan Browning, Trevor Cline, Bart McGlothlin, Will McGlothlin, and Justin Shortt.
The family will receive friends at the Honaker Funeral Home after 6:00 PM Friday.
